Ministry Update 7/1/24

It’s been an incredible few weeks for our ministry, filled with enriching experiences, meaningful connections, and impactful conversations. I wish I could take you with me so that you could see firsthand how God is at work in the hearts and lives of women. I know many of you pray for us each week, and I am excited to tell you that God is answering your prayers and working on behalf of those who desperately need His help.

One of the highlights of the past few weeks has been the opportunity to travel and speak at various women’s events. These gatherings are always so much fun as I get the chance to catch up with old friends and meet new people who have no idea what DFM is all about. I love teaching God’s Word because I know it has the answer to the greatest needs of our hearts. It’s such a privilege to share the timeless truths with women who are seeking hope and healing. It’s truly humbling and inspiring to witness how God works in the hearts and lives of women everywhere. I’ve been deeply moved by the stories of transformation and faith that I’ve encountered along the way.

At each event, I’ve also had the joy of showcasing the incredible work happening in Guatemala. Our women artisans pour their hearts and skills into crafting beautiful bags and products, and it’s been a delight to see attendees engage with these items, knowing that their purchase supports sustainable livelihoods and empowers women in Guatemala.

Meanwhile, our dedicated team has been hard at work leading mission trips to Guatemala. These trips are about much more than just visiting a foreign country; they’re about rolling up our sleeves and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Our teams have constructed gardening beds for vegetable cultivation to support the families in the safe house. They have delivered food baskets to women in need and attended graduations from our training program. Each mission trip is an opportunity to embody love and service in action.

The gardening beds we’ve built will provide fresh produce for those in our home, ensuring they get a balanced diet that will help them heal and grow strong. They will also help the women learn to build and grow their own beds for future sustainability for them and their children. It’s incredible to witness the impact that small acts of kindness and practical assistance can have on individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.
