Ministry Update August 2024

Reba’s Recovery and Recent Travels
First and foremost, our CEO, Reba, is recovering remarkably well from her recent knee replacement surgery. She still has several months of recovery before she is expected to be back to normal, but she just returned from a fruitful trip to Guatemala. We ask for your continued prayers for her healing and strength as her travel schedule picks back up and she begins to get back to her normal schedule.

One Life is Worth All the Effort
During a recent mission trip to Guatemala, our team had a profound encounter. We visited a widow who had been facing severe health issues and struggling to provide for her basic needs. We delivered a food basket, and our director, Mariajose, shared the message of Jesus’ love and salvation with her. As the visit started to conclude, she asked, “Can I receive this Jesus now?” With tears of joy, we witnessed her pray to receive Christ. This beautiful moment reminded us that the Holy Spirit is at work changing hearts and lives. Our job is to share His love with those in need.

God’s Provision Through Media and Ministry
We are thrilled to announce a significant blessing that came through Ryan Berry and Crossroads Baptist Church. Ryan’s media company, Berry Media Group, volunteered to create new videos for Dare for More, capturing the essence of our work in Guatemala and beyond. Pastor Heath Spivey and Crossroads funded their travel expenses, enabling this incredible project. We eagerly await the release of these videos, showcasing the powerful stories and moments they captured. We know you are going to love them too!

Upcoming Events and Mission Trips
As we look toward the fall, our schedule is packed with opportunities. Reba will be speaking at events across Georgia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, California, North Carolina, Michigan, Maryland, and Virginia. Additionally, five mission teams will be heading to Guatemala. Please pray for protection and safety as our team travels and ministers.

New Vehicles for Vital Outreach
Thanks to the generous efforts of the student body at Bob Jones University, which took us on as their Bible Conference project, we now have a new van and truck. These vehicles are essential for transporting women and children to court cases, medical appointments, and remote areas. The truck, in particular, enables us to reach mountainous regions safely, ensuring we can deliver crucial resources like food and clean water. We are immensely grateful for the students’ support, which is making a tangible difference in many lives. Never underestimate the power of young people to make a difference.

Transformation and Healing
Reba’s recent visit to Guatemala was a testament to the transformative power of your support. The women and children we serve are experiencing profound changes—from fear and doubt to hope and healing. Our staff, many with their own stories of struggle, are also finding joy in the journey. Every donation, purchase from our store, partnership, and mission team member is contributing to this incredible impact. If you are one of those who pray or partner with us in some way, thank you so much. You can’t imagine what a difference you are making in the lives of so many.

Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers, generosity, and involvement are changing lives and spreading hope.
