We Cannot Do It Alone
The Biblical model is really simple. A body with many parts working together as a fluid unit to further the kingdom of God.
God has called DFM to be intentional as we serve the body of Christ by focusing on women and young people. We do this by serving women of all ages here in America and in other nations.
Together We Can Reach Women.
Serving women looks very different depending on our location.
Here in America, women struggle with stress, exhaustion, marriage and family issues, depression, just to name a few. Even women who are in the middle of ministering to others, such as pastor’s wives or ministry directors, struggle with overwhelming issues and many feel they have no where to turn. God has opened the doors for DFM to come in and provide encouragement, counseling, and training. Our goal is to ensure growth in their relationship with Christ so they can find their purpose, gain the proper perspective, and experience the Hope that is found in Christ alone.
You can find us in schools, universities, prisons, churches, camps, and conference centers. We partner with pastors, youth pastors, administrators, women’s ministry teams, and camp directors as we strive to come alongside the local church and the many outreach ministries who are pouring into the lives of women.
Internationally, women are struggling under the bondage of strongholds that are centuries old. Some women have never been told of the love of Christ because their culture will only allow them to talk to men in their family or other women. This means unless a man in their family trust Christ, they will only be able to hear the gospel from another woman. Since two-thirds of the world’s illiterate are women, this provides great challenges.
Other women face great physical and sexual abuse from inside and outside their homes. Sexual trafficking affects women of all ages from little girls to grown adults. The abuse women face causes a rise in suicide rates among women in some countries.
Dare for More is responding by partnering with those already on the ground to meet the challenges. By doing this, the women we meet and minister to are in the good hands of local churches, missionaries, and outreach organizations. As we come alongside these amazing leaders around the world, we find that many of them have great struggles as well. We have the great privilege of ministering to their families and we do our best to connect them with resources for more affective ministry.
Together We Can Reach Young People.
The challenges of today’s youth is daunting at times. With a population of young people that is growing faster than any other demographic, the time to reach the young people of the world is now.
God has provided the opportunity for DFM to reach both believers and unbelievers among our teen population. We focus on a genuine relationship with God that ignites their passions and purpose in a focused direction. We teach leadership, morality, purity, and a biblical worldview that will prepare them to influence their world for Christ. DFM provides unrivaled international internships with special training in women’s issues and women’s ministry for college age and above. We also provide life coaching and mentoring connections for young people who are serious about serving God and would like some assistance.
Keeping up with the technological advancements is one of our greatest challenges as we strive to stay connected with young people and provide them with quality resources that can strengthen their ability to make right choices.
The potential is immense, the vision is God-sized. This is why I am so thankful that God has put us in a body of believers that are designed to work together for His Kingdom purpose. We know we can’t reach the goals God has set for us without great partnerships with people just like you. Our goal is to come alongside others — will you come alongside us?
The obstacles we face come at us in two basic forms: internal and external. Internally, we desire sustainability — which means acquiring the funds necessary to run the day to day operations at DFM and the cost of providing counseling, resources, and training to the body of Christ around the world.
DFM acts as a relationship builder on an international scale for churches, missionaries, and organizations. This means that we go in, hear the challenges they are facing in reaching women and young people, and then as God leads, we begin to connect them with support. Depending on the situation, this can be a short-term or long-term partnership for DFM as we supply teaching, training, counseling, resources, and hope to those on the front lines. This is the external part of the big picture.
