As a result of COVID, Dare for More has taken a hard look at how we can continue to pour into women spiritually. With the cancellation of our in-person events we have been impacted in two significant ways:

1. All of our International discipleship and leadership training has come to a halt.  This impacts our CarePartners in every location (Dominican Republic, Africa). But it especially is hitting our Zambia team hard because we were in the middle of discipleship training , leadership training, and crisis counseling training.
2. In the USA, Women’s events have all been cancelled due to gathering restrictions and churches are struggling to figure out how to move forward. And yet women are struggling in so many ways as they work through new challenges brought on by COVID. The average home was not ready for everyone being at home together for weeks on end with no break. Everything from meal preparation to video schooling increased the tension in the lives of wives and mothers drastically. Fears, anger, discouragement, and frustration are just a few emotions that women are facing in epic proportions. 

To meet these needs, DFM has pivoted to online teaching and training. Since the first week of April, we have been teaching on Facebook. Over the past few weeks we have expanded our reach to include a YouTube channel, a podcast, Instagram, and hopefully some live-streaming events in the future.

We need to upgrade and purchase new media equipment in order to continue to minister to women in this way. Our global partners need important training and teaching materials that we normally would do on location. Videos will allow us to provide this training for them despite our travel limitations. Even after COVID subsides, we believe this opportunity will continue to be open wide for Dare for More to minister to women in new and exciting ways. The items we need to purchase are:

1. Camera 
2. New computer that is designed to edit videos and handle large files
3. Microphone equipment
4. Lighting

The conservative cost for all this is around $10,000.  The computer and camera cost will absorb about 80% of this cost.
